Cancer Screening Day Update - Today is done, more tests on the way!

Well, today is done. :0) I have the most wonderful doctor, she took
all the time necessary to cover any of my questions. I have some
issues that require follow up and will have more tests done in May. I
have about a week to wait on test results to get back to have a final
all-clear, but at that point if the results are clear, I will have
graduated to the next level of checkups - from the "every six months",
to the "once a year" kind. That is great, it means you are that much
farther away from cancer, but also you are that much farther away from
your medical teams. I will still be going to my many specialists in
the mean time, so that is somewhat reassuring. I have lost some
weight! Yippie... and am doing everything I am supposed to be! :0) So
I guess I should get some gold stars somewhere, lol I enjoyed the
company of family on my trip, sometimes I like to go alone, but not
usually. I actually had fun twittering the day, it made me feel like
you all were with me and I liked that today. I hope I helped some
newbies see what it can be like. All the stress and anxiety before the
appointment, melted away quickly after getting it over and then
allowing myself the entire rest of the day to do whatever I want. I
only had a small crying fit while talking to the doctor, and she was
really supportive about it and made me feel better. Then we discussed
my hormones, lol - ya, I am now post-menopausal from the effects of
chemo and radiation. They had hoped to prevent that by keeping my
ovaries when they did my radical hysterectomy plus some - lol - but
evidently the radiation and chemo were to strong for them to tough it
out and I am now looking at estrogen therapy. She will be talkign to
my main oncologist before they decide, but now I have to do some
googling on all this...

Now I am laying in bed relaxing and vegging out on the computer while
dinner will be brought up to me. :0) This is my reward for facing my
fears today and I am really enjoying the peace and quiet. I do have
some stress and anxiety over the test results and upcoming ultrasound,
but to know that at least visually today there were NO signs of that
ugly C word we all HATE - that brought me JOY! I hope you all have a
wonderful weekend and make a relaxing day for yourself too! I will
update everything as I know more! Thank you all for caring so much. It
helps more than you know.

My Cancer Screening - (follow along today on twitter - chromedaffodils ) - The Appointments I Wish Never Had to Go to Again!

Alright, I am down to one hour to go before I get picked up for my
cancer screening. I have inadvertently put this off a couple of months
to long, only to get the friendly reminder call from one of my
specialists who informed me I have gone beyond the acceptable time
frame for them receiving updates from the primary oncologist and I had
to update them on when my appointment was.

Seriously?! I had completely forgotten and I am sure it was
psychological, especially due to the fact I have been having twitching
and spasms in the area where the cancer spread like a bad weed to my
lymph nodes and they found this during surgery, which extended it and
caused me to have to be under a lot longer than expected. I could go
on about the surgery and will later if you want me to, however I
wanted to jot this little blog down because I am probably not alone
and I want others to know they are not alone. I hate these
appointments and I wish I never had to go again.

It is like you graduate from daily care, in my case, I had home health
care, and constant screenings, chemo, radiation, you don't have to be
worried because if you take a breath wrong, your team of wonderful
experts (I really had a wonderful team from the James Cancer hospital)
would be documenting it and evaluating you. I appreciated their
expertise and exceptional care of me and my family. Now fast forward
to today, sometimes I feel incredibly forgotten because I am not under
such scrutiny for my condition. It is a double-edge sword. I hated all
the appointments and yet liked knowing the results because then it was
known, it was "solved". In-between, well you are always in limbo, was
that pain cancer coming back? Is the twitching it growing and
over-taking that area? How will I know if it is back or not? These
questions haunt me at times.

I am lucky enough to only have to go every six months or so, because
there was a time where it was every other week and so on. So, here I
am hesitating leaving. I was supposed to leave an hour ago to have
lunch with mom before we got there. I just can't seem to move. We
rescheduled lunch, which also gave me time to write you this. :0)

It is a pretty day though...
Wish I didn't have to go........

Anyone else out there have a cancer story they want to share? Take care!

Free Porn! or Free Shackles?

When posed the following question by a friend on her status, I replied
as follows, however, what do you think and how do you think this
affects America?

Friend: Everyone that wishes to comment, What do you all think about
porn and does more men look at it than women do? I have a debate going
on and I need anyones input that wishes to comment!

Me: Wow, this is interesting because the thing is, who really knows,
so many people live that part of their lives privately, that true
answers to polling on it would never be accurate really... however the
viewing of it is a sin. It is wrong to commit adultery of any kind as
God wants us to be loyal to each other, in every thing we do, we
should be loyal to that and do our best. Be it a job, an agreement, a
friendship, a marriage, or any other commitment, we should be
honorable and trustworthy. This is because he wants us to be respected
and have confidence and be great leaders in whatever role in life we
have, there is value and worth in that. We are important and have
purpose. Social engineering has led many to believe their sins are
okay in order to sell them products, distract them from what is really
going on in the world and further control their lives. I have never
seen porn lead a relationship closer and make it healthier, in fact
much of the marital counseling in America is from destructive things
like this occurring. It can also lead to one or another party being
medicated (further govt. control of you). It is also a crime to have
this stuff in the presence of minors and can lead to the state
removing your children (further controlling you and the education
etc., of your child) so is it worth it? Bottom line, do unto others as
you would have done to you, and if it causes your brother or sister to
trip up, stop doing it, so if you think something is okay, but your
brother/sister in Christ is deeply troubled by it, stop it because the
bond and friendship is of much higher value and you should respect
them enough to do so. There are many research topics on Prison Planet
dealing with the mind control and distractions by the media, etc. to
prevent you from focusing on what is really going on.
