Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton was snubbed by Iran's top diplomat, Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki, during a rare encounter at a Bahrain security conference Friday.

'I got up to leave and he was sitting a couple of seats down from me and shaking people's hands and he saw me and he stopped and began to turn away,' Clinton told reporters on her plane returning to Washington on Saturday, according to Reuters.

'I said 'Hello, minister.' He just turned away.'

Clinton was delivering a speech in Bahrain in advance of next week's plans for Iranian representatives to sit down with the P5+1 -- the five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council plus Germany -- to discuss its controversial nuclear program.

Mottaki addressed the conference on Saturday, stressing that Tehran would want the 'Iranian agenda' addressed if the U.S. wants to continue talks, the first in a year.

'We will focus on dialogue. Our agenda will be presented at the meeting,' Mottaki said.
