My news finds RSS feed:

WOW - What is Russia saying about the US and more...

From their site:

The World Economic Forum in Davos is the platform where states and businesses try to find mutually beneficial solutions. The forum is especially important nowadays, when the world continues to suffer from the economic crisis. One may presume that the current crisis is a consequence of the gradual decrease of the US leadership in the world economy. The reduction was triggered by selfish and unpredictable actions of the US administration in politics and economy.

The struggle between those willing to take the vacant place of the leader may result in serious conflicts. Great Britain and the British Community are the main candidates at this point.

China has no chances to become the new leader of the world. The Chinese economy strongly depends on other countries’ energy carriers, whereas the yuan will not be able to obtain the status of the world currency. It is an open secret that the term ‘finance’ virtually means papers and computer digits. Quite on the contrary, energy is real – everything comes down to energy carriers and energy systems. That is why the world expects a lot from Russia at the forum in Davos. The world wants to know what it should do. The answer to the question ‘who is guilty’ is obvious.

The World Economic Forum is an international non-governmental organization. The history of the forum began in 1971, when about 450 leaders of Europe’s leading companies gathered for a meeting in Geneva. The organization was titled the European Management Forum from 1971 to 1986. The first meetings of the forum were devoted to the issues connected with the improvement of positions of Western Europe in the competitive struggle.

The agenda of the forum was then extended with political and economic questions, the results of the scientific progress and the problems of developing countries’ debts. Influential figures from all over the world became frequent guests in Davos since the middle of the 1970s. The forum gained the status of one of the most important events of the year during the 1980s.

About 2,500 members from 96 countries of the world will meet at the World Economic Forum in 2009. Prime Minister Vladimir Putin chaired the Russian delegation at the forum and was given the honor to open the event.

The forum was a landmark event for the whole world during the 1990s, when world leaders developed the strategy for the economic development of the world. It is worthy of note that it was Davos architects that developed the world structure economy which subsequently collapsed.

The head of the Russian government will most likely try to break certain stereotypes of the forum and make the world community believe that Russia ’s role in world economy was growing.

The current meeting in Davos does not have an extensive agenda. The issues include the state of affairs in the USA and the EU, Russia’s WTO membership, China , the global energy security and the economic crisis, of course.

Putin stands for the creation of other reserve currencies apart from the dollar and the euro. However, it seems that there is no option to that for the time being.

“Excessive dependence on what is essentially the only reserve currency is dangerous for the world economy. Therefor,e it would be expedient to encourage an objective process for the emergence of several strong regional currencies in the future," he said.

Putin mocked the United States over its economic role during his opening speech.

"I just want to remind you that, just a year ago, American delegates speaking from this rostrum emphasised the US economy's fundamental stability and its cloudless prospects," he said in his speech. "Today, investment banks, the pride of Wall Street, have virtually ceased to exist. In just twelve months, they have posted losses exceeding the profits they made in the last 25 years. This example alone reflects the real situation better than any criticism," Putin stated.

The world expects a recipe of survival from new developing economies (China, India, Russia), rather than from the Western world. Putin said prior to the beginning of the forum that it would not be possible to extricate from the crisis without making fundamental changes in the world economic system.

Five days are not enough to save the world, of course. However, these days can be enough for forum members to try to understand each other, to let businesses and states agree on new rules of the game. There are no private problems in the global world.

Sen. Ted Kennedy collapses during a luncheon following President Barack Obama's Inauguration

Sen. Ted Kennedy collapses during a luncheon following President Barack Obama's

My answer to "Is it really possible to be pro-life and pro-war at the same time?"

In war, it's not who's right, it's whose left... I don't think of myself as pro-war, but even a peaceful animal will fight to defend her young, I really think it can be an ugly necessity, as many patriots prepare to take up to defend our homeland and our constitution that is being walked all over - you have to do what you have to do. I would say any situation so complex as to draw to war would be unlikely to be summed up in a few word stance such as pro or anti something, but involve many passions and drives that we may never understand. It is sometimes necessary to object an obligation to feel compelled to "choose a side" unless it presents itself to us because it is not our obligation to but into the affairs, or rather, police the world. We should love our enemy and we should care for the wounded, but ultimately the battle created is for them and God to sort out. If you are being recruited, your battle is much bigger than in the minds of your countrymen. Only you can answer then. ;0)

No Bailouts! If your gunna spew money, spew in this....

This was sent to some honest and patriotic news affiliates who I hope make a difference and email me back. If they do, I will update you here!

I really hope you read this because this kept me up all night and I prayed about it and I felt I should email my idea to you. I know the government WANTS to send money to the people to spend, but because they cannot be sure we will spend it, they are avoiding that and dumping it into the pit of corporate fire, as an offering.

I would like to offer a suggestion, in the hopes you can tell the right person who can maybe do something to help our great country.

On one hand it allows AMERICANS to choose what businesses succeed. It also supports small business. It also sends money to the people and not big companies. This also will delay payment from the government, but reap instant gratification.

Instead of giving us money, set up a web-based system that allows citizens to register and select $1700 in gift cards from local small businesses who have signed up for the program. They could choose what business and what dollar amount they wish to use for each business, until their "cart" totaled the $1700 (or whatever amount specified.) Then these cards may be printed right from the computer or mailed to you. After you spend the cards, the local business can enter them in online or mail them in etc. to them have the government redeem them to the local business.

Those without internet can mail in their request.

The cards would expire in three months. The business would have three months after receipt to turn them into the government for payment.

If you owe child support, all your cards go to your children.

This will help local tax revenues also. Getting money into the local economy is an essential in healing our broken economy.

Please comment to let me know if you read this.

Also, what do you think about Lance Armstrong becoming a senator? I have been looking for news about it and I know it would only mean good things for LIVESTRONG, but at the same time, only if there are dedicated people taking over because he would not be able to be as involved in it as he is now. What do you think about this? Post me a comment and let me know. I am a LIVESTRONG delegate and am working to start up our local LIVESTRONG Army, with some small bumps in the road, but we are here and will be helping our area cancer survivors and those affected to LIVESTRONG! MacWorld 2009 Part 2 to my techie friends

On a side note, with so many companies struggling now, it was refreshing to hear Apple must be doing good enough to actually award three key members of its executive team with $100,000 raises. Pretty nice raise! CEO Steve Jobs, of course, still makes just $1 a year. But he holds 5.5 million shares of Apple stock, by far and away the largest amount held by any members of the Apple executive team.

I did find the link to the 2010 event and what will be of it without Apple.

Also the MacHeads review -

Who knows if I will ever get to watch it and after reading up on any news from Macworld today, I was discouraged about the Apple-less event next year is confirmed. bummer.... Regardless, this event drew in about 50,000 attendees and 400 exhibitors.

One neat iPhone app is from Smule. "Ocarina" turns the iPhone into a wind instrument. Just blow into the microphone, press a few buttons, and you can play "Stairway to Heaven," or hundreds of other songs that have sheet music available on its site.

Link to site:

Another neat feat is from Ecamm Network. They showcased the first Webcam with Bluetooth wireless technology. The BT-1 Webcam combines video and sound completely free from wires.

The iWork software demonstration drew a huge crowd believe it or not. Many systems were set up for demos and tutorials were given. So it is becoming more popular and may be good to get a handle on it.

The final note for today "Macworld attendees stream down the escalators into the lower halls of Moscone Center in San Francisco. The banner already advertises Macworld 2010, but without Apple's participation, what will it be? The future of the event is unclear." :?

So, I cannot seem to find much more on the event right now, but I will try to post tomorrow. Regardless of Apple's attendance next year, I still would like to go. This is a cultural event as well as a unique way to connect with many levels of IT gurus and creative thinkers. I am still holding out for OnForce to send me and I would be ever so grateful.... (Still waiting for them to call.... lol)

Enjoy your day, find something beautiful in a moment and cherish it...

So long for now, I am downloading the Ocarina prog. I will let you know what I think.

The Great Falling out, do not allow your mind to be unsettled :0)

The great falling out, do not allow your mind to be unsettled! :0) God does not want us to be anxious or afraid, because with one breath, Jesus will defeat the enemy and that is just awesome. Celebrate your victory now and rejoice because he will cover us and give us wisdom and strength. ;0)

2 Thessalonians 2 (Amplified Bible)

2 Thessalonians 2

1BUT RELATIVE to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) and our gathering together to [meet] Him, we beg you, brethren,

2Not to allow your minds to be quickly unsettled or disturbed or kept excited or alarmed, whether it be by some [pretended] revelation of [the] Spirit or by word or by letter [alleged to be] from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has [already] arrived and is here.

3Let no one deceive or beguile you in any way, for that day will not come except the [a]apostasy comes first [unless the predicted great [b]falling away of those who have professed to be Christians has come], and the man of lawlessness (sin) is revealed, who is the son of doom (of perdition),(A)

4Who opposes and exalts himself so proudly and insolently against and over all that is called God or that is worshiped, [even to his actually] taking his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming that he himself is God.(B)

5Do you not recollect that when I was still with you, I told you these things?

6And now you know what is restraining him [from being revealed at this time]; it is so that he may be manifested (revealed) in his own [appointed] time.

7For the mystery of lawlessness (that hidden principle of rebellion against constituted authority) is already at work in the world, [but it is] restrained only until [c]he who restrains is taken out of the way.

8And then the lawless one (the antichrist) will be revealed and the Lord Jesus will slay him with the breath of His mouth and bring him to an end by His appearing at His coming.(C)

9The coming [of the lawless one, the antichrist] is through the activity and working of Satan and will be attended by great power and with all sorts of [pretended] miracles and signs and delusive marvels--[all of them] lying wonders--

10And by unlimited seduction to evil and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing (going to perdition) because they did not welcome the Truth but refused to love it that they might be saved.

11Therefore God sends upon them a misleading influence, a working of error and a strong delusion to make them believe what is false,

12In order that all may be judged and condemned who did not believe in [who refused to adhere to, trust in, and rely on] the Truth, but [instead] took pleasure in unrighteousness.

13But we, brethren beloved by the Lord, ought and are obligated [as those who are in debt] to give thanks always to God for you, because God chose you from the beginning [d]as His firstfruits (first converts) for salvation through the sanctifying work of the [Holy] Spirit and [your] belief in (adherence to, trust in, and reliance on) the Truth.

14[It was] to this end that He called you through our Gospel, so that you may obtain and share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah).

15So then, brethren, stand firm and hold fast to the traditions and instructions which you were taught by us, whether by our word of mouth or by letter.

16Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, Who loved us and gave us everlasting consolation and encouragement and well-founded hope through [His] grace (unmerited favor),

17Comfort and encourage your hearts and strengthen them [make them steadfast and keep them unswerving] in every good work and word.

  2. 2 Thessalonians 2:3 A possible rendering of the Greek apostasia is "departure [of the church]."
  3. 2 Thessalonians 2:7 Many believe this One Who restrains the antichrist to be the Holy Spirit, Who lives in all believers and will be removed with them at Christ's coming; yet a majority thinks it refers to the Roman Empire.

LOVE your Enemy

I was disturbed by this bulletin I received today and a few others alike and had to write to share my viewpoint on these issues. The letter is below and my response below that. Thank you and after praying about this for awhile, to those who are insistent on wildly oppressing one side or the other, I am not deleting ANY of you. You were my friend last week and an event in another (or any) part of the world does NOT change how I feel about YOU in this corner of the world. You are my friend. A friend is thick and thin. Enough said and feel free to repost if you feel the same. Take care and peace starts with me, so peace to you friends! :0) Have a blessed week! Wendy

note from my friend:

from: MarthaMartha

Date: Jan 6, 2009 5:34 PM

Subject: Israel has a right to defend itself and messages like this

Body: In response to messages like this:

"Israel has a right to defend itself, Hamas has got it coming"

I agree that anyone has a right to defend themselves, but the way that this is done is important

Surely genocide and mass murder of many innocent little children is unlikely to win you many friends in this world

Don't bother sending me messages like this because I won't reply to them

A note from ME:

First, who am I to judge..... I am not.

Martha and any other friend who wants to voice your opinion and silence another as to imply yours is the only right answer is very concerning.

I find it disturbing how a war between two groups of people who we are not a part of, would be driving a wedge between our friendships. Reading many bulletins and blogs, it seems as though it has happened enough already between others. If you claim to be loving peace and you want to share your opinion with me, I am fine with that, but understand I also have a voice I may express my view as well and because we may differ on things should not make it so as war ravages our world, we also part.

That to me is hypocritical and as much as someone may tick us off, we have to remember how often we hit "send" or write something up and then think later "oops" or maybe you should have worded it different. Bottom line is that if you are against wars and fighting, certainly you would not do so in your personal life. If you do actively fight or protest or find enemies amongst your friends suddenly because of what you perceive to be truth (to which we all know - truth is only a perception and in this case a battle of propaganda and there may not be a way to find the truth or who is right or wrong.) and what you perceive to be occurring. There are many reasons why each side of this war is occurring.

Seeing the videos of the violence from each side of the war, you could potentially be swayed to choose a "side" and become a part of it. Performing violent acts in your area to somehow become a part of a war far away is honestly a bit ridiculous. If you are against war and violence, promote peace by reaching out to those in your community who need help, etc. and practicing diplomacy.

This war also contains a religious component that many may not understand. With that in mind, read up on Revelation in the King James Version of the Bible and see that Israel has protection from God regardless of what propaganda may say. Also, that does not mean they are perfect. No matter your spiritual beliefs, you know you would never want someone to attack you for that or any other personal belief or private matter. I don't think we should be forced to "pick a side".

Yes, war is terrible, but you know if someone throws the first punch, there is a fight. The teacher always asks who threw the first punch. Does it matter, the fight happened. If one walked (or ran fast) away, there would only be someone throwing punches.

No matter who started it, they both have the power to end it and no matter the number of external fighting that develops around you, or the words bellowed out, only you can decide to maintain yourself at peace. This is not something you would want imposed upon you, but rather freely allowed to fight or stop.

Even still at the fight, everyone knew the fight would happen, and we all know the two sides right now have issues, and the fight would happen. It is no one’s place to call anything because we are in neither shoe and could have no idea of the complexity of the situation. We have to grow strength within our own country and community and support the differences and uniqueness we all have and when one small offense becomes an issue, we need to deal with it and do unto others as we would have them do to us. The laws God gave us have the capability to prevent wars in the first place. He gave them to us because he loves us and so we know how to keep peace, etc. - if that is what we want to do because he also gave us the right to choose.

List of God's Ten Commandments from The Bible

A List of the Bible Ten Commandments given by Moses in Exodus 20

Exodus 20:1-17

1 And God spake all these words, saying,

2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

13 Thou shalt not kill.

14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.

15 Thou shalt not steal.

16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.

Exodus 15:26

And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.

Deuteronomy 4:13

And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.

Deuteronomy 4:40

Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the LORD thy God giveth thee, for ever.

Jesus Christ fulfilled the Law!

Matthew 5:17

“Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.”

No man has ever fulfilled (kept) the Law!!

Romans 3:19-28

“Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.” We at God's List of the Bible Ten Commandments thank you for visiting our site.

I saw some people protesting on TV and I really have to question why show violence as a way to state you are against violence?

Have you taken a minute and thought about the events going on in the world and that they are one method used to manipulate you into becoming a house divided so when "they" usher in something previously you would have turned your head to in a vomiting rage, you would now welcome? Be aware and beware, because many have been deceived before you and they never knew it. The only way to prevent being brain washed is by not allowing anyone to provoke you to wrath and to love your enemy and pray for guidance and discernment. I prayed for everyone who took the time to read this, that God gives you wisdom, guidance and direction.

Don't let them turn us into ravaging animals, turning on each other as they gather together, sipping their gluttony, feeding their vein arrogance and never getting their fill, while we destroy any chance of bonding to rise up against tyranny and corruption.

In the peace and love of Jesus,
